Who accepts Skills for English

Skills for English tests have been trusted and recognized by a range of organizations, including governments, higher education institutions, and university pathway providers.

Skills for English is approved by the United Kingdom Government, specifically the UK Visas and Immigration division of the Home Office, for visa applicants. This includes work, study, and spousal visas. All Skills for English tests are approved by the Ireland Government’s Department of Justice for study visa applications.

Higher education institutions across the world rely on Skills for English tests. Currently over 140 institutions in the UK accept Skills for English: SELT, and hundreds across the world.

Skills for English: SELT can also be used to gain access to a range of pathway provider courses, enabling test takers to access even more universities.

Northern Consortium UK, Study Group, INTO, Kaplan, QA Higher Education, and Malvern House all accept Skills for English qualifications.

SQA Advanced Diploma (China) Programme Study Centres

Skills for English is recognised for entry to Year 1 of the SQA Advanced Diploma in China, and is the preferred method of ensuring students meet SQA’s English language requirements.

Students must achieve a minimum of a Level B1, covering all four skills components: Speaking, Listening, Writing, Reading, and pass with Merit (B1+), to enter the SQA Advanced Diploma (China) programme.
